Welcome to Pack 648!

Our pack is made up of approximately 27 boys and their families, mostly from Adobe Bluffs Elementary and several from surrounding schools.  Cub Scouts are part of the Boy Scouts of America, and have a long tradition of providing lots of fun activities for boys in 1st-5th grade.  In Pack 648 we believe Cub Scouting is fun, but it is fun with a purpose.  We are guided by the rules and policies set by the national organization.  Please visit visit BSA's website for more in depth information.

Boys' Life "Say Yes to Reading!" Contest 2011
Write a one-page report titled “The Best Book I Read This Year” and enter it in the Boys’ Life 2011 “Say Yes to Reading!” contest.  First-place winners in each age category will receive a $100 gift certificate good for any product in the Boy Scouts official retail catalog. Second-place winners will receive a $75 gift certificate, and third-place winners a $50 certificate.
Click here for all the contest details.

Youth Protection Training - Starting June 1, 2010, the Boy Scouts of America instituted a National set of guidelines requiring Youth Protection Training for all registered adults regardless of their leadership position. Two major results of this requirement are that:
  • New leaders are required to take Youth Protection training before submitting an application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time the application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins.
  • Youth Protection training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer’s Youth Protection training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered.  read more about the YPT guideline
