I'm interested in joining cub scouts but I have a few questions...
About Pack 648:
What do Pack 648 scouts have to say about scouting?
"It's just fun. You go camping. You do crafts like making model cars and catapults." - Marcus (Webelo)
Will I know anyone in Pack 648?
If you go to Adobe Bluffs you may recognize other boys from school. But if you don't know anyone you will make friends in your den. Everyone is part of a den made up of 6-10 boys in the same school grade. The den meets regularly and works together to advance along the cub scout trail.
Do I have to attend Adobe Bluffs to join Pack 648?
No, anyone can join Pack 648, Adobe Bluffs is just usually where we meet. We have scouts in our pack that attend other schools.
What kind of time and financial committment will I have to make when I join?
The pack meets one a month, on the first Friday at Adobe Bluffs Elementary beginning at 6:30pm with an activity and Flag Up ceremony at 6:48pm.
Den meetings are typically two times each month. The day, time and location vary by den.

About Cub Scouting:
What is the purpose of Scouting?
Boy Scouts of America's mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Read more about the purpose of scouting and get an overview of cub scouting.
What do boys get out of scouting?
As a worldwide brotherhood, Scouting is unique. It is based on the principles of loving and serving God, of human dignity and the rights of individuals, and of recognizing the obligation of members to develop and use their potential. It is a movement dedicated to bringing out the best in people. Cub Scouting doesn't emphasize winning as an end result, but rather the far more demanding task of doing one's best.
